Victron Energy VE.Bus BMS NG
The Victron Energy VE.Bus BMS NG is a battery management system (BMS) developed exclusively for use with Victron Lithium NG batteries. It is designed to operate in systems with Victron inverters or inverter/chargers that use VE.Bus communication. It helps protect the battery bank from critical conditions such as overvoltage, undervoltage, high temperature, and low temperature by monitoring each cell individually.
Thanks to built-in Bluetooth support, the device can be monitored and configured centrally via the VictronConnect app. Because it can obtain essential information such as voltage, current, state of charge, and individual cell data directly from the battery, it eliminates the need for a separate SmartShunt in many applications.
Victron Lithium NG batteries can be configured in series, parallel, or a combination of both connection types. The system supports 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V installations. Up to 50 batteries can be used in 12 V and 24 V battery banks, while up to 25 batteries can be used in 48 V battery banks. This structure offers storage capacity up to 192 kWh for 12 V systems, 384 kWh for 24 V systems, and 128 kWh for 48 V systems. Furthermore, multiple Lynx Smart BMS units can be connected in parallel to increase system capacity and provide additional redundancy.
Key Features
- Bluetooth Smart: Allows wireless configuration, monitoring, and product firmware updates via the VictronConnect app. Thanks to the Instant Readout feature, critical data such as SoC, battery temperature, warnings, and alarms can be viewed directly from the device list without connecting to the device.
- Load Disconnect Output: Can manage the remote control input of a BatteryProtect, inverter, DC-DC converter, or other loads with remote on/off support to reduce the risk of deep discharge.
- Charge Disconnect Output: Can control the remote on/off connection point of chargers such as a Smart IP43 Charger, Cyrix-Li-Charge relay, Cyrix-Li-ct Battery Combiner, or BatteryProtect to prevent overvoltage.
- Pre-Alarm Output: Provides early warning for low battery voltage before loads are disconnected. Can be used with relay, LED, or audible alarm equipment.
- Remote On / Off Control: Allows the load and charge disconnect outputs to be controlled externally.
- LED Indicators: Equipped with a blue LED for Bluetooth status and a red LED for warning and error notifications.
Compatibility Note
This product is designed only for Victron Lithium NG batteries. It is not compatible with Victron Lithium Battery Smart batteries.
